Cow Dazzle Series
牛革とガムテープで制作
現代アーティスト・抽象画家・風景画家・日本画家・彫刻家などアートには様々なジャンル・作風の作家が存在する。個々の作家が渾身の思いで作品を制作し完成を迎え展覧会や個展に向けて準備する過程でどの作家も最終的に自身の作品を世に送り出す梱包作業をする時、共通して手にする道具が「ガムテープ」である。表現のジャンルは違えど、「ガムテープ」は世界中のアーティストが制作のフィニッシュに使用する最後の道具であると感じ。作品最後の仕上げの道具「ガムテープ」で作品を描いてみようと思いついたのが始まりです。「ガムテープ」のしなやかさが牛革との相性も良く私の代名詞である牛革をキャンバスに、絵具に変わり「ガムテープ」で様々なサイズのラインを描き・構成し『Dazzle＝眩惑する』世界を画材の持つ特徴をシンプルに構成し表現を追求したシリーズがCow Dazzle Seriesになります。
また、今までの作風の絵と組み合わせた表現など現在進行しているシリーズ。
Made with cowhide and duct tape
There are artists in various genres and styles in the art world, such as contemporary artists, abstract painters, landscape painters, Japanese painters, and sculptors.When each artist creates a work with all their heart and soul, and in the process of preparing for an exhibition or solo exhibition, when they finally pack their work to send it out into the world, the tool they all have in common is "duct tape."Although the genre of expression is different, I feel that "duct tape" is the final tool used by artists all over the world to finish their work.It all started when I thought of using "duct tape," a tool used for the final finishing touches to my work.The flexibility of "duct tape" goes well with cowhide, so I used "duct tape" instead of paint to draw and compose lines of various sizes on my signature cowhide as a canvas, and the Cow Dazzle Series is a series that pursues the expression of a "dazzling" world by simply composing the characteristics of art materials.
In addition, I am currently working on a series that combines my previous style of paintings.
